Operation Flashback

Thru out the long 9 years the Roughnecks have grown into a very large family including several sister squads like MOD, 88th, VASF and UN, Some we born off the Roughneck's server while others have regrouped and join the Rughnecks as a hole.

9/11 Virus

A nasty 9/11 virus hit the RN server last sunday, around 7:30 AM the RN server slowed down then failed to reboot, while 17 minutes later My ISP and home computer suffered the same attack, leaving my ISP off the air for 2 days, many home users in the Area were infected as well. the longer rebuild was due in part of setting up a linux server seperate from the game server, recovering lost data and repairing corrupted files.

We recovered 100% of our files with only 2% corruption on txt files and gif files so we got lucky, RN will now use tripple Redundant back ups since both the main server and the back up were hit, which is pretty rare

TKC Defeated

With the Help of the Roughnecks and many other Community members BIS lay defeat into the TKC Scum by releasing 1.96b Anti Cheat OFP Server, OFP Servers can now detect ID Changers, Ammo Trainers and Super Cheats effectively defeating all TKC Cheators.
Way to go BIS!!!

AFC Come Back

Yesterday morning during a RN beat down, AFC Snuck two M1A1a in to the RN base for fast 5 minute turn around that gave AFC the win, During the whole game the Roughnecks Beat AFC back to their primary base and retained most of the towns during the conflict and even Kept the Great MHQ Tracking Kobold in a confused state with new tactics, RN was getting closer to a victory until the Evil Fanatic showed up wielding two shiny new M1A1s :) - GG (if I was there in base in stead of switching CO it would never have happened) our bad luck and AFC's Good timing made for a Fun Match
